Synopsis

Hukum dan politik merupakan dua entitas yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dalam kehidupan bernegara. Hukum memberikan fondasi normatif bagi penyelenggaraan kekuasaan, sementara sistem politik menentukan bagaimana kekuasaan itu diperoleh, dijalankan, dan dipertanggungjawabkan. Relasi keduanya bukanlah hubungan yang statis, melainkan dinamis saling mempengaruhi, saling membentuk, dan kerap kali saling menegangkan. Dalam konteks itulah buku ini disusun: untuk menawarkan pemahaman yang utuh dan kritis mengenai bagaimana hukum dan sistem politik bekerja secara simultan, baik pada tataran teori maupun praktik. Buku ini terdiri atas beberapa bagian utama. Bagian pertama membahas landasan teoretis mengenai hubungan hukum dan politik, termasuk berbagai paradigma dan pendekatan yang berkembang dalam kajian ilmu hukum dan ilmu politik. Bagian kedua mengupas dinamika sistem politik mulai dari konstitusi, lembaga negara, partai politik, pemilu, hingga relasi antara negara dan masyarakat sipil dengan menempatkan hukum sebagai kerangka analisis. Sementara itu, bagian ketiga menyoroti tantangan kontemporer yang dihadapi oleh sistem hukum dan politik di era globalisasi, digitalisasi, serta menguatnya populisme dan disrupsi teknologi. Isu-isu seperti demokrasi digital, korupsi, independensi peradilan, dan perlindungan hak asasi manusia menjadi perhatian utama pada bagian ini.
