Synopsis

Perkembangan ekonomi digital, seperti e-commercefintechmarketplace, dan platform on-demand services, telah melahirkan pola hubungan hukum baru yang sering kali tidak terakomodasi secara optimal dalam kerangka hukum perlindungan konsumen konvensional. Permasalahan seperti kebocoran data pribadi, klausula baku elektronik yang merugikan, transaksi lintas batas negara tanpa yurisdiksi yang jelas, hingga maraknya cyber notary dan digital signature yang belum sepenuhnya dipahami konsumen menjadi tantangan serius bagi penegakan hukum di Indonesia. Buku ini disusun untuk memberikan pemahaman komprehensif mengenai dinamika dan urgensi perlindungan konsumen di ranah digital. Pembahasan dimulai dari landasan filosofis dan yuridis Undang-Undang Nomor 8 Tahun 1999 tentang Perlindungan Konsumen (UUPK), kemudian dikaitkan dengan perkembangan regulasi terkini, seperti Undang-Undang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik (UU ITE), Undang-Undang Perlindungan Data Pribadi (UUPDP), serta Peraturan Pemerintah dan Peraturan Menteri yang relevan.
