Buku ini disusun sebagai salah satu upaya untuk memberikan kontribusi ilmiah dalam bidang kesehatan ibu dan anak, khususnya dalam konteks pelayanan kebidanan berbasis komunitas. Kesehatan ibu dan anak merupakan indikator utama keberhasilan pembangunan kesehatan di suatu negara. Asuhan kebidanan komunitas hadir sebagai pendekatan esensial yang tidak hanya berfokus pada individu, tetapi juga pada keluarga, kelompok, dan masyarakat secara keseluruhan. Melalui pendekatan ini, bidan dituntut untuk mampu melakukan pengkajian, perencanaan, intervensi, serta evaluasi yang berorientasi pada pemberdayaan masyarakat, promosi kesehatan, pencegahan penyakit, serta deteksi dini masalah kesehatan di lingkungan komunitas. Buku ini disusun secara sistematis untuk memudahkan pembaca, terutama mahasiswa kebidanan, praktisi bidan, serta tenaga kesehatan lainnya, dalam memahami konsep, ruang lingkup, dan aplikasi asuhan kebidanan komunitas. Materi yang disajikan meliputi: (1) Konsep Dasar Kebidanan Komunitas, (2) Sejarah dan Filosofi Kebidanan Komunitas, (3) Strategi Pelayanan Kebidanan di Komunitas, (4) Peran, Fungsi, dan Tanggung Jawab Bidan di Komunitas, (5) Aspek Perlindungan Hukum Bidan di Komunitas, (6) Pemberdayaan Masyarakat dalam Pelayanan Kebidanan, (7) Asuhan Antenatal di Komunitas, (8) Asuhan Intranatal (Persalinan) di Komunitas, (9) Asuhan Postnatal, Bayi Baru Lahir, Bayi dan Balita, (10) Pertolongan Pertama Kegawatdaruratan Obstetri dan Neonatus, (11) Konsep Dasar Sistem Rujukan Kebidanan, serta (12) Pendekatan Community-Based Health Promotion dalam Kebidanan Komunitas.
